Volunteering
There is no previous experience or expert knowledge required of a volunteer,
other than their own experience of work and business and their enthusiasm.
Young Enterprise Volunteers act as role models from the world of work to
young people who have, in many cases, volunteered to become involved.
As
well as offering a learning experience for students, Young Enterprise programmes
also bring learning benefits for the Volunteers who are encouraged
to develop their own skills and knowledge alongside the students.
Young
Enterprise Volunteers are welcomed from all walks of life, and do not necessarily
have to work in business. Many Young Enterprise volunteers
are retired business people or those nearing retirement.
Young Enterprise
Volunteers share in the learning experience of the young people they support,
exploring and developing their own Enterprise Capability
alongside the students.
